Titanium Materials and Component Specifications
Specify the material of the complete product
A material description should tell a buyer what is used in the product being supplied. Titanium jewelry may include a main body, posts, backs, chain, clasp, springs, connecting rings or decorative components. Identifying one titanium part does not establish the material of all the others.
COTATI reviews material requirements as part of each development and production quotation. Specify any required titanium grade or material standard, together with the intended use and destination market. Commercially pure titanium and titanium alloys are distinct material descriptions; the applicable grade should be confirmed for the product.
Include the components that affect your specification
- Earrings: body, posts or hooks, backs and connecting parts.
- Rings and bangles: main structure, settings, inlays and separate components.
- Necklaces and bracelets: pendant or links, chain, clasp, springs and connections.
- Finished chains: chain structure, ends, connecting rings and included closure.
- Findings: individual component, mating parts and any supplied assembly.
- Keychains: main body, key ring and connecting components.
Discuss the evidence your project requires
Tell us which material documents or tests your buyer, sales channel or destination market requires. Document availability and the relevant product or batch coverage need to be confirmed for the project. A material grade name should not be presented as a finished-product certification.
Composition and release testing answer different questions. For a skin-contact requirement, specify the intended use and all relevant components so the applicable evidence can be discussed. Neither a titanium description nor a single component's documentation supports an absolute promise that no wearer will experience a reaction.
Confirm appearance alongside the material
Provide a physical or photographic reference for the surface you want. The proposed process, material compatibility and acceptance criteria are reviewed before quotation. Do not assume that a color reference identifies the underlying material or a particular treatment.
Build the material brief into your order
MOQ is assessed per project. A quantity of 300 per style is our standard production reference. Share your target quantity for review; smaller runs are assessed individually. Final MOQ and counting units are confirmed in the quotation. For finished chains, the reference is 300 finished chains per style. Sampling and production lead times are assessed according to the design, materials, manufacturing processes and order quantity. The project quotation confirms the materials, document scope, starting conditions, schedule and shipping arrangements.
Share your material and component requirements with your design and target market for review.
